My husband was recently diagnosed with severe arthritis in his left knee and advised by the orthopedist to elevate his legs, among other things. We tried using pillows, but they weren’t comfortable and slipped around rather than being stable. I looked at a lot of the elevating pillows in Amazon and finally decided in this one because of the good reviews and price.When the box was delivered we wondered why it was much smaller than we anticipated. Even after we opened the box the pillow looked small, and similar to a soft taco in its packaging inside the box. As soon as my husband cut away the clear plastic packaging the pillow began to slowly “grow” until it reached the size in the attached photo. I wish I had made a video of the expansion! The expanding process was amazing, and in just a very few minutes it had become so large it was as though we had a new family member!We opened the box and packaging on our bed to see how it would work there, and shortly after my husband began using the pillow he was asleep and snoring! It also works well on our reclining sofa, as shown in the other photo. The only drawback is deciding where to store it when it’s not being used, because of its size, but it works extremely well for its intended purpose. The cover is very soft and comfortable. It has a zipper that makes it removable, but we’ve had no reason to remove it. Some of the reviews mentioned the cover is very difficult to put back in after washing it, but since we haven’t needed to wash the cover, we haven’t had to cross that bridge.If only there were a way to squish the pillow back down for storage after my husband no longer needs to use it! Guess we’ll just have to name it and welcome it as a new family member! ???I bought this because my legs need to be elevated. I am 5’ 3” and it’s perfect for me. I have low back problem plus osteoarthritis in my knees. This has helped me so much. I have to get used to sleeping on my back though. I 100% recommend this pillow. No smell, not hard and puffed up within a minute after removing the plastic. It is a big pillow, but that’s what I was looking for. I hope this review can help someone. The other reviews helped me.This product was a little on the firm side for my broken fibia, but great for ankle. Great elevation tool.It is sturdy, stays where I place it, comfortable, raises my legs to a good level, is a good width for me. I am a large person. I would recommend it to a friend.The pillow is used for the blood flow to return to my heart. My valves in my left leg are weak and had multiple blood clotting. This pillow raises the legs to the correct height for my situation. Reason for the rating less than 5 is that my preference sleeping position is on my sides. It is not as comfortable for this position.I bought this because I was going to have foot surgery and needed to keep my foot elevated. This is awesome, I don't think I had much if any post op swelling because I used it religiously for the first two weeks.I use this when my legs or lower back hurts. 30 minutes later, my legs feel better. Rather large & bulky to store but worth the space it takes because it works. Price is fair.Yeah its really comfortable but man is it big. Surprisingly big. The size makes it hard to use in a recliner but in a bed or couch it would be easier to maneuver. Really comfortable once you get into position.
