I bought these and a charcoal pair for a trip to SE Asia. Earlier reviews of Columbia pants indicated that they ran smaller, so I ordered a pair in my regular size, and the other pair a size up. I found that they actually ran big, and so the size up that I ordered are too big, even with making all the adjustments with the elastic waist. The ones I ordered in my regular size were still quite roomy, but could be adjusted so they fit relatively well. I also ordered the tall length as I am almost 5'10", and they were a bit too long (which rarely happens!). The bungee adjustment made it easy to tighten so that they didn't drag along the ground. Very versatile pants, great for hiking and early morning excursions where you can either zip on or off the legs depending on the temperature and not have to carry a change of clothes. Also lightweight and hardly noticeable if you're backpacking and every bit of weight counts. Pants dry fast, never looked dirty, quality construction.
