Gorgeous boots. Skins, workmanship, color were all excellent. There were three problems...1. I could not get my foot in the boot. I bought these in 13EE, which in Tecovas I can easily get in and out of. Even using boot pullers my foot would not go in, and I feared if it went in, I wouldn't be able to get it off. Also feared I might tear the pull straps.Comparing these boots sole to sole with my Tecovas of the same size, these were 3/4 of an inch narrower.2. The "J" toe is much more pointed than it looks in the picture. It is VERY pointed. I would have preferred a "round" toe.3. The boots have a funny smell. All of my Tecovas, regardless of the skins, smell like rich leather, like a new leather jacket or car seats. These stunk!I don't know what they're tanning the hides with (cow urine?), but you're not going to like the smell of your closet with these in there.Maybe this smell will wear off with time, but my Tecovas still smell great after years.So I returned these for a full refund, without a problem.Shame...they were beautiful. If you can get them in your size, don't mind the very pointed toe, and your sense of smell is not so great...you'll love these!
