They are a little tough to put on but it makes it secure. They don’t move or slide off once they are put on.These silicone transparent chair protectors are the best I’ve used to-date. They are easy and quick to put on, fit snugly once on and, with their well-fitted felt tips, allows the chairs to be moved away from and in to the table without scuffing the floor. Highly recommendedNot that we used them heavily. They came on pretty snug and wouldn't slip off. But after 2 days the clear rubber part broke, the leg tips went on the floor and scratched it. Now that is indeed a pain in the neck.Recently we replaced our flooring with luxury vinyl tile. My 15 year old seems to have taken the challenge to scratch this personally and I was worried she would succeed. I tried plastic tabs that get nailed into the bottom of chairs (they pick up grit and do scratch) and felt pads (they don't stay on) when I saw these and decided to give them a try. I ordered these and another brand.These arrived in a plain brown box with brand labeling. They are crystal clear but give the feet of chairs a shiny look. These are thinner than the other brand I ordered, but they stretch to fit all but our thickest chair legs and none have torn. They are "sticky" enough to stay on chair legs that are straight even when they weren't stretched to fit on the chair leg. The bottom is felt and seems to do a good job of sliding on the floor. They are sturdy and stay putThe chair legs I put these on are not perpendicular to the floor but instead at a slight angle. These sliders shift b/c of that and it causes the rubber to catch on the floor making the chair not slide easily. I do like they are clear and look nicer than the older ones I had which were white and starting to crack, which didn't look good with the color of the wooden chairs.I got the wrong size, Small or extra small would have been better for her old wooden kitchen chairs (I've just ordered the smaller size, now). I tried these, and I love them! Even using a cap that is too big to hug the chair legs, these work! (Well, when I lift the chair they stay on the ground.) Even being too big, I can scoot her chair unto the table while she is seated in it and there is none of the old scraping sound that made me worry about wearing the wax finish unevenly on the red-brick southwest kitchen floor. Eventually, the adhesive dries and new pads have to be reapplied. These silicone protectors may be just what we've needed.
