Description

The Aircast Leg Support Brace helps protect and stabilize the entire lower leg from harmful movement, not just the ankles. It's available with or without a removable anterior panel, which provides added tibia (shinbone) protection. It's designed to provide functional management of high ankle sprains, stress fractures and the graduated management of stable fractures of the lower leg. Featuring semi-rigid, anatomically designed shells which help stabilize and protect the leg. These shells are lined with patented Duplex air cells that enhance circulation and reduce swelling and edema. The air cells are pre-inflated, and provide pulsating compression while walking. This leg support brace has a low-profile structure, allowing for minimal bulk while wearing shoes. The Aircast Leg Support Brace resists inversion more than taping, yet normal flexion is virtually unrestricted.

Ankle area uncomfortable if not aligned perfectly with the leg. I recommend wearing knee length sports compression support socks with tube socks over them. I had stress fractures in both legs and was given just crutches. I was supposed to have boots and never was given them. I bought these because since I'm buying my own splints and so had a choice, and having boots on both legs would make doing anything impossible. These provided enough isolation and support along with the compression support socks that I could walk, slowly, without crutches which made everything easier while my legs healedHave a fractured fibula which was surgically repaired with intramedullary rod implanted inside the bone. This was the best method to help mend the fracture and become weight bearing quickly rather than a plate which requires a longer time to heal before becoming weight bearing. Doctor recommended splinting for a couple of weeks and agreed to the Aircast brace which will allow me to remove for bathing. Great outcome for a very active senior. I ordered the brace with the Anterior panel but immediately realized that it was unnecessary and better suited for people with very narrow chicken legs. The kit comes with 2 well made socks which makes having the brace on more comfortable. Not really a fan of the air pockets on the side. One holds air, the other leaks easier....BUT that being said, even without air it does provide a good support to the leg. I had rod insertion done 3 months ago. I’m really tired of the boot, but some days my ankle and lower leg still get exhausted going without anything all day. This provide a comfortable support that made the fatigue feeling subside. Worth it if you only need it here or there. IMOI opted for this instead of a full boot when I was told my tibia was highly susceptible to a stress fracture. It took a few days to get used to and I could only wear it with one pair of sneakers I owned. But it definitely provided the support I needed over a 6-8 week period. I didn't need to use the front plate. I think it's only really necessary if the circumference of your leg is larger than average.Product worked well. Helps support leg. A bit uncomfortable to wear for a length of time but did it’s job. Two socks come with which is a plus but they get dirty quickly and gross. Would recommend to anyone.I broke my tibia and have a 9mm intermedial nail surgically implanted inside the bone. Doctors said I didn’t need any other support, however I wanted something to help with recovery rather than have no cast or anything protecting the leg. The aircast does not give you a lot of support really, but does provide some stability and helps with weakness. Also protects the leg from other people bumping into it and makes a visual note to others that you have actually done something serious to your leg so is a warning for them to be mindful.Excellent alternative to a “boot” or “walking cast”. Had a stress fracture re-occur in my Tibia and purchased this becauseits what a Sports Medicine Doctor put me in one years ago and the VA does not have them.Good qualityFractured Tibia, works geat to keep me mobile
