These pants looked really comfortable and I was hesitant to get them because of all the complaints about them shrinking. After two weeks of deliberation I got them last year for winter. They are super comfortable. I wash them in cold water and tumble dry it and so far, they have not shrunk. I have an issue with pant legs being too short and I was afraid they may shrink so I got an x-large. I'm glad I got the x-large because I like how loose it fits and the length is good, a little longer than expected but I like it. I took off one star because it is not as flattering as the models picture and even though I prefer draw strings over elastic, I hate the way it looks in these pants (minor complaint). I wear it as a low rise pants.I live where the weather does not get too cold during winter. This is a medium weight fabric so I think it does well in 60ish or 70ish degree weather but it is not meant for super cold weather unless you love the cold or can tolerate very cold weather. My measurement is: Height 5"8, Hips 42" (106.68cm) and Inseam 34" (82.5cm). I wear a size 9 or 10 usually.I bought these ones before and didn't realize it was the same kind. They are just O.K. Not my favorite pair in the world. I wish I would have noticed because these are the ones without a waist band, it's only a tie. So the tie gets knotted into place really HARD eventually and they either get too big and stretchy falling down or if you are able to get them untied, the rope tie gets separated from the pants during wash, then you have to try and re-string it back through the waist of the pants and that is very hard to do without the tools to do it. Long-winded I know but that's how I feel about these. The older ones I have are still lasting, they are wearing a little thin after 3 years and seem to be the sweatpants that just won't go away.As far as off-gassing for my chemical sensitivities. So far, hung out a week, washed 4 times and still can't wear them. Not a strong chemical smell but just a hint of menthol and rubbery smell that won't go away. It will be a while until I wear the new pair.Everyone said this Bella sweatpant ran long in the legs. I'm 5'9" with long legs. So I bought this style in the white pant in the XL because my hips are (unfortunately) 42". The hips and waist are actually large on me. My thighs are thin comparatively, yet the thighs were a snug fit.I have no idea how someone could find this comfortable. Since I'm tall and leggy the leg length is good for me. But if you're tall enough for the leg length then you will find the rise too short. With no elastic in the waist, only an inflexible drawstring, this has to ride above the hip bone to stay on without falling off every two seconds. And it won't ride there because the rise is so low that it keeps yanking the pants off the hip. Besides pulling the sides up high high while the crotch is pulling down because the rise is so short is extremely uncomfortable (not to mention unbecoming) even if the pants would stay up, which they won't. Really, I can't take two steps in them without holding them up with my hands. I can't imagine who these would actually fit.The fabric is nice, and the garment seems to be made well. But I totally can't use these. I hope the seller will take them back.Bought these to make my bridesmaids their own sweatpants. All my girls absolutely loved them, they are super comfy. I don't want to say you should completely size down, just know they are a little on the large size, so if you are in between sizes (like I am), choose smaller. I wore my pair on our 8 hour drive to our honeymoon and they were practically falling off all day. I am a size 4-6 in most stores and I ordered a medium.I gave a polyester/plastic, elastic allergy. These have been the only 100% cotton sweatpants I can find with a drawstring waist. What I dislike is the company is going to quit making them. I have no idea what I'll do.I should have bought a large and not xxlarge as it was too long and too full around the hips. I am 5'9 in height. However the feel of the material is nice it is not scratchy at all, so I would just hem the length 1 inch up because I like how it is falling on my sneakers and I really do not mine the fullness around the hips. This is great for Working out at the Gym, and doing my power walks. I would recommend Bella Fleece Straight Leg Sweatpant anytime to everyone.I like were fabric inside out, so I have smooth on my skin. I ordered a bit large and I turned it inside out and put it on. I turned the top over for the string to work correctly. I cut the bottom off about 1". I re-did the string to a 5" knit elastic in the back. I did sewing to do it right. Now, it fits and I have smooth against my legs. "And" it is White!Love the material, very nice medium weight fabric. In the reviews I had read they said these particular sweats ran long in length. I have a 31" inseam and they are not quite long enough...before I wash them. FYI...the waistband hits about 2 1/2-3" below the bellybutton. My suggestion would be to order the next size larger. Even though they did not fit as I had expected, they are well-made, very comfortable, and nice color.I was hoping for pants that were a little longer, and a little thicker. After washing, they were too short for me, and a little see-through (partially because they are white). I would say they are 'okay'.
